So many years have passed. I’m curious to know what modern women writers are doing now.
Olya P.:
Currently, I have experience writing in Russian, but I am now actively trying my hand at writing stories in English. My stories have been published in the online Russine literary magazines: Demagog, Neznanie (was printed), Prochteniye, Pashnya, WLAG Russia’s Lab, on the Litres and Bookmate platforms.
I don’t teach, but I created my own writing practices where I suggest simply learning to enjoy the process of writing for people (women mostly) with no experience in writing. You don’t need to be a writer to take a part in it! With the help of my assignments, participants looked at themselves from a different perspective, discovered their creative abilities, and simply had a lot of fun.

What else can you boast about? I am actually proud that women now have more freedom in their lives.
Olya P.:
I have over 10 years' experience working with texts in various formats. Recently, I wrote the script for the documentary film Women In Science, created a writing performance Letters in Separation at the international exhibition EV in Istanbul and organised a pre-New Year’s performance Important Words at the Huma Christmas market in Amsterdam. I held a two-day workshop at the I Have Something to Say writing school and the Be an Author writing community, teaching participants how to construct ideal dialogues and fill texts with lively speech.
I am currently the author of interviews and reports for the post-war-literary media Words Outside Myself. I love working with dialogue and believe that the future lies in short prose.

I conducted over 300 interviews with various experts, transformed a cultural programme featuring TV interviews into a topical show with high-profile guests, created the most popular lecture hall in the city despite lacking funding, and boosted traffic by a third with her articles on Aviasales, the most popular travel blog in Russia.
